The focus is obsessive brooding on the part of the body and the person becomes heavily preoccupied with the defect to the point that a Plastic surgeon is sought after to correct the defect

Individuals with become socially withdrawn, socially anxious and will use clothing, makeup and other camouflage paraphernalia to cover up the defect and can be a high risk group for self-harm and suicide
